The Kane County Public Lands Department has been established to have greater involvement with and influence over the management of public lands in Kane County.  That focus and attention on public land including access, and management is crucial for a balanced and sustainable stewardship of Kane County's public lands.
The Kane County Resource Development Committee, and The Recreation & Transportation Special Service District, along other related public lands operations including GIS will fall under the Public Lands Department.
